sei challenge with Julie Bonner sketch

I created this sweet layout of my son for the sei blog challenge using one of Julie Bonner's sketches.  Can I just say, that I love Julie's sketches.   She makes them so versatile so that you can make a simple layout or go wild and crazy if you want.  I usually am a very simple and clean scrapper so I appreciate her simple to scraplift sketches.  Whenever I am struggling to put together a layout I just find a layout I love and scraplift it.  With all the gorgeous layouts and sketches out there I am never stumped for long.  I loved this sketch from Julie and the layout she created for sei so I decided to play along and create one of my own.  So first, here is the sketch.
For my layout, I wanted to focus on a single photo of my son and his beautiful brown eyes.
The patterned papers are from the Jocelyn line from sei, the journaling card is from kris kringle, and the paper clip is from moonrise.  The alphas and flowers are thickers from AC.  I am really pleased with the way this layout turned out.  I definitely strayed from the sketch, but it really helps me to have a place to start.
